MEET KEN

Ken is my consultant and friend.  He has helped me express what's in my heart on paper.  A million thanks to him!!!

Ken Abraham is a New York Times best-selling author, known around the world for his collaborations with popular celebrities and fascinating, high-profile public figures.  Ten of Ken’s collaborations have attained New York Times bestseller status, with three books soaring to the number one spot on that prestigious list.

Ken worked with Lisa Beamer, widow of United Flight 93 hero, Todd Beamer to create the number one New York Times bestseller, LET’S ROLL! (Tyndale House Publishers, August, 2002), Lisa’s story of hope in the midst of crisis.

More recently, Ken collaborated with Joel Osteen to "get his heart on paper," resulting in the runaway number one New York Times bestseller, YOUR BEST LIFE NOW (Time Warner, Warner-Faith, October, 2004) and the number one New York Times bestseller, BECOME A BETTER YOU (Simon & Schuster, Free Press, 2007).  Joel is the senior pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston , Texas , designated by Forbes magazine as America ’s largest church.

Ken’s book with Senator Bob Dole, ONE SOLDIER’S STORY (Harper Collins, April, 2005), soared to the number five spot on the New York Times hardcover bestseller list.  The book reveals for the first time Senator Dole’s detailed story of being wounded in Italy three weeks before the Nazis surrendered in World War II, the heartrending long, difficult road to recovery, and Bob Dole’s never-say-die willingness to focus on what he had left rather than what he lost.

Along with Chuck Norris, World karate champion and star of numerous movies and the popular television series, " Walker , Texas Ranger," Ken wrote the New York Times bestseller, AGAINST ALL ODDS (Broadman & Holman, 2004).  He also wrote with Bill Gaither, ASCAP’s Christian songwriter of the Century, MORE THAN THE MUSIC (Time Warner, 2004).

Ken’s collaborations have been featured on ABC-TV’s "20-20," NBC-TV’s "Dateline," CNN’s "Larry King Live," "Good Morning America" (ABC), The CBS "Morning Show," "The Today Show" (NBC), Fox Television Network, The [former] Nashville Network, and the Family Channel.

Drug-running, catastrophic death, AIDS, cancer, spousal abuse, imprisonment, and child abandonment . . . are just a few of the tough topics about which Ken Abraham has co-written books in recent years.  Said one commentator, "Ken Abraham gets more heart on paper than any co-writer in America.  His books offer genuine hope for people going through the darkest of circumstances."

For instance, Ken co-authored PAYNE STEWART, THE AUTHORIZED BIOGRAPHY, with Tracey Stewart.  A New York Times bestseller, the book chronicles the life of one of the most famous professional golfers ever to grace the links.  Known for his wit, charm, and sartorial splendor, including his colorful knickers and tam ‘o shanter hats, Payne Stewart always left an impression.  On October 25, 1999, the country watched on "live" television as Payne and five others streaked 1,400 miles across the nation in a Learjet with a dead pilot at the controls, finally crashing in a field in South Dakota .  With Payne’s wife, Tracey, Ken Abraham once again succeeded in telling a powerful, poignant story in a way that provides hope rather than despair.

Ken’s most recent books include New York Times bestseller, MAGNIFICENT DESOLATION, with astronaut, Buzz Aldrin (Harmony/Random House, June 2009); A HEART TO SERVE, with former U.S. Senate Majority Leader, Bill Frist (Hachette Publishing Group, October 2009); KNOCKOUT ENTREPRENEUR (Thomas Nelson Publishing, September, 2009), with two-time World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, and genial entrepreneur, George Foreman; and BILLY, THE EARLY YEARS (Thomas Nelson, October, 2008), the fascinating account of a little known turning point in the life of Billy Graham.  A feature length movie by the same title, and starring Martin Landau, Lindsay Wagner, Jennifer O’Neill, Armie Hammer, and Kris Polaha debuted in October, 2008.  Ken also guided Victoria Osteen in her 2008 New York Times bestseller, LOVE YOUR LIFE (Simon & Schuster).
